Good hotel, great breakfast


Stayed here on a $156.00 special which included breakfast for two. This was a great value for money package. Clean and crisp rooms and nicely refurbished. Breakfast choice was fantastic. Recommend the French toast. Will stay again for a weekend shopping adventure!

Fantastic time!


My husband and i celebrated our 16 year wedding anniversary at the hotel and had dinner in Babbingtons bar and grill (restaurant on site). staff couldn't have been friendlier and more welcoming. this hotel has just been renovated/refurbished and the standard is very high.Rooms comfortable and roomy; good tv, great decor.

Wonderful night


Hi Berenice, Just a quick email to thank you for last night Geoff and I had a wonderful night so please pass onto all the staff (including the chefs of course!) our thanks. The food and service was divine. It was lovely to meet you and we look forward to our next meal at Babbington’s.

It was just perfect


I just wanted to put a thank you note into you and the hotel to say how very much we enjoyed our Christmas lunch with you. It was just perfect – from our lovely table and it’s lovely view, attentive and well trained staff, delicious food with our two gluten free diners catered for cheerfully, good quality wines, a welcome from your manager and an unexpected visit from Santa. We loved it and will be back next year if our families are away again.

Memorable stay / event


I just wanted to thank you and the entire Apollo International team for the fantastic service you provided to me and my colleagues over the past 2 days. This was especially appreciated as we were there to run our own in-house customer service program! Here are just a few things that spring to mind that made our stay / event memorable:

- Every person I spoke to on the phone from your hotel before I arrived ALL said they were looking forward to welcoming me back to the hotel – a little thing, but it really stood out as it was a consistent message.

- Being upgraded to a newly refurbished room was also a nice

- Being offered free wifi access at check-in was also a bonus – I don’t know why EVERY hotel doesn’t do this – it really adds value to the stay, especially when you have to work afterhours responding to emails, etc.

- The service provided by Kelsey in the restaurant was also consistently good – despite the fact she worked both dinner and breakfast shifts (and having done this myself in the past, I appreciate how tough this can be!). Kelsey knew how to look after a single diner without being intrusive.

- The quality of the food in the restaurant, and for our function, was really good too. Little things like homemade slices and ‘real’ muesli were noticed and appreciated.

- Our function room was refreshed magically during each break – great when you’re based in the same room all day.

- All staff we dealt with were friendly, professional and more than happy to help – and this seemed to be exactly the same with their interactions with all the other guests.

I estimate that it’s been well over 5 years since I was at your hotel (at that time I was working with Jeanswest) and it was very gratifying to find that the quality of service has remained consistently high since that time. We will definitely be back in the future, and will no doubt use your hotel as a positive example in future customer service training programs!

Professional and lovely


On 30th July 2011 my daughter and son in-law had their wedding at the Apollo. My letter is to let you know how much everyone enjoyed their night. I can’t thank Berenice and the staff that worked the wedding enough, the night was wonderful and as I had only 9 weeks to organise the wedding (due to my husband being diagnosed with advanced terminal cancer) any worries I had, Berenice was always calm organised and had an answer to any worry I had. Nothing was a problem as far as she was concerned and she made what was an extremely stressful situation for my family and me just that bit easier on me which I can’t thank her enough for her help in organising my daughter’s wedding. Also the staff that worked the wedding were wonderful and nothing was a problem, if I needed anything they were more than happy to get it and I would like to thank Lee in particular she was so professional and lovely. As I have said, the whole day was wonderful and my family and friends have some wonderful memories and photos of the day and for that I thank Berenice and your staff for making the day what is was.

Efficient and professional


I write today to thank your hotel for efficient and professional staff. My daughter Emma Mills left a pair of earrings and other items in her room last weekend. I would like to personally thank Michelle and Emma, firstly Michelle for following up on my daughters’ requests, calling us last night to advise us of their find and secondly Emma this morning for being so helpful in arranging to mail the items back to us. It’s good to deal with friendly, honest staff. I will definitely recommend your hotel because of your honest and efficient staff
